Ballymahon ‘Trad’ Sounds is a space where young traditional musicians can grow their playing skills with other proficient musicians. Our Ballymahon Sounds programme has grown from Trad Ensemble to a new programme where young people, aged 7 – 18, will have the opportunity to learn a new traditional instrument which will give them the skills to play as part of an ensemble. Lots of programmes are on offer including all of your favourite trad instruments; flute, tin whistle, mandolin, concertina, accordion, banjo, harp and more. Ballymahon Sounds is led by accomplished Music Educators, Donna McCann, Michael Lennon, Angelina Carberry and Elisabeth Affolter. If you would like to learn more about how you can get involved please contact us.
